*respect-code certifies that the listed articles are produced with concern for controlling social, economical and environmental factors. Different from existing labels, *respect-code certifies the entire chain of production and controls factors involved such as preventing employment of children and ensuring safe and decent working conditions.

It is important to note that respecting and moving towards changes in environmental and social factors takes time.  Every supplier who signs the *respect inside charter reveals improvement measures taken through periodic progress reports.
